Everyone loves free stuff, right? Fortunately, Charlotte has a multitude of events, parks and museums that require no charge at all. This great city’s activities appeal to all ages and walks of life. So grab your friends and family and enjoy all these free activities Charlotte has to offer. Because after all, Charlotte’s got a lot. I’ve put together a list of my top five things to do in Charlotte for free:
It’s more than just a children’s library. Two theaters, library space for children 11 and under, multipurpose classrooms, a teen-only library, multimedia production rooms and interactive exhibits make up this amazing learning experience.
Tailgate at Doghouse
With the Panther’s season just around the corner, it’s time to get into the spirit! WFNZ runs a tailgate before every home game. Bring your Panther pride and head on down to Doghouse.
Hikers, campers and fishers unite! Even though it is not technically in Charlotte, Crowder’s is just a short drive away. Take in the beautiful scenery and breath in the fresh air with striking views stretching over 25 miles.
NoDa Brewing Company
Charlotte’s own craft beer brewery hosts guided tours through their brewing process from start to finish. While the tour itself is free, you’ll find it hard to resist buying a pint one of their award winning beers to sip on during your visit.
Wells Fargo Museum
While this museum is at a bank, it won’t cost you a penny. Take a trip down Charlotte’s rich history in gold mining and the beginnings of Wachovia Bank.
